PILOT HAS DEDICATED itself to creating writing instruments that are value-for-money, well-designed and eco-friendly. Being voted by consumers as a Reader’s Digest Trusted Brand again is a testament that Pilot stands out in a crowded marketplace.
Through continuous innovation, Pilot offers a wide variety of products from oil-based, gel and liquid ink pens to markers and mechanical pencils. Pilot has always focused on making writing a pleasure and to listening to consumer feedback to improve its product range.
In 2016, Pilot released the new SCA permanent marker, featuring improved ink with properties that enable it to withstand dry abrasion on polypropylene surfaces. The product also has an exceptionally long cap-off life of up to 24 hours for those who forget to replace the cap after use.
Pilot is a socially responsible corporate citizen, particularly for youth and the environment. The Pilot Begreen series are pens created from industrial waste to aid conservation of the environment. Pilot was the official writing instrument sponsor for the 2010 Singapore Youth Olympic Games and the 2015 SEA Games, supporting Singapore’s young athletes.
In May 2016, Pilot Pen sponsored the KidsSTOP marine conservation project to encourage children to recycle, re-use and reduce in their daily learnings. A virtual ocean floor was projected onto a wall where children could see their personalised sea creatures come ‘alive’ in three dimensions. Together with Pilot’s FriXion series and a special ink recycling machine, which emits heat and erases the ink, each sheet of paper can be recycled and re-used up to five times.
