ALMOST 30 YEARS AGO, Century Pacific Group was little more than a vision for founder Ricardo S. Po, Sr.
But in 1978, after years of study and research, the dream became a reality when Mr. Po established Century Canning Corporation, a pioneering tuna canning facility to process and export the abundant supply of tuna found in the waters of the Philippines.
Within five years, Century Canning Corporation was one of the largest tuna canneries in the Philippines with hundreds of containers of tuna shipped to the US, Europe and the rest of the world.
At this time, Filipinos were a sardine-loving community, so Mr. Po decided to introduce them to the healthy goodness of tuna. In 1986, he launched the Century Tuna brand.
In the three decades since, Filipinos have come to love canned tuna and trust Century Tuna to provide a nutritious, highquality product due to the brand’s stated purpose: “to nourish and delight everyone, everyday, everywhere”.
Every can of Century Tuna is low in cholesterol, has no preservatives and is packed with Omega 3 DHA, which is good for the heart and brain.
