Pilot pen

SINGAPOREAN CONSUMERS can expect a wide range of reliable, innovative and value-for-money writing instruments from Pilot as it listens to consumers’ feedback to improve its product range. Pilot’s 100th anniversary this year is a testament to how Pilot has been integral in consumer’s life by meeting consumers’ needs.

Pilot launched an eco-friendly range of writing instruments in 2008, the Begreen series, made with at least 65% recycled material without compromising quality or performance. It is priced at similar levels as the standard products to ensure that conservation does not come at additional cost. Rather than outsourcing the manufacture of products to lower costs, Pilot makes its own components under strict quality control in its plants in Japan, the United States, France and Brazil.

Pilot supported schools’ badminton tournaments by sponsoring the Pilot Pen Cup, to cultivate young sports talents until 2012. From 2013, Pilot partnered with the Singapore Badminton Association to continue to bring the “Pilot Pen Cup” to youths. It also donates writing instruments to Overseas Community Service Projects.

Last year, as part of Pilot Frixion’s 10th anniversary, it raised and donated S$10,000 to the Yellow Ribbon Project, supporting former offenders’ reintegration back into society.

Pilot was a sponsor of the inaugural Youth Olympic Games (YOG) in 2010 and of The Cool Factor Conservatories Education Programme of Gardens by the Bay, and the Science Centre KidsSTOP.
