AIG travel insurance

AIG SINGAPORE has been serving the Singapore community with the breadth and depth of its expertise since 1953. Travel insurance is one of AIG Singapore’s star products and has provided protection for travellers through the years.

AIG is the only travel insurer with its own travel assistance company. Customers can tap on eight strategically located global service centres to get 24/7 access to a worldwide team of medical professionals and insurance specialists. AIG’s Travel Guard® also has the most generous cover available in Singapore for overseas medical expenses of up to S$2.5 million. For example, when the Nepal earthquake occurred in 2015, AIG swiftly deployed a crisis management team to the region and assisted more than 100 policyholders and partners by providing medical, security and other assistance services.

Customer centricity is at the core of the work AIG Singapore does. Based on feedback that our customers provided about the benefits offered under Travel Guard®, AIG Singapore recently rolled out a new repatriation cover for pre-existing medical conditions, plus a new replacement of traveller benefit.

Travellers who are unable to go for the trip due to unforeseen circumstances can now get reimbursement up to a certain amount to have another person take their place. The claims limits for fraudulent credit card usage and cover for baggage and travel delay have also been increased.

Always striving to stay abreast of changes, AIG Singapore can be counted on to provide top notch travel insurance benefits for its customers – protecting them before, during and after their trips.
